Tsungai Mukushi – Principal

Tsungai is a Legal Practitioner and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria. His experience includes over 10 years of commercial law practice focused on franchising.

 

Tsungai quickly distils documents and contracts into their real-life consequences to allow his clients to knuckle down on the important issues. He understands the practical and commercial implications of the various issues involved in small businesses, and in particular, franchises.

 

Being a franchise lawyer requires a strong commercial focus. Tsungai’s experience includes both the non-litigious and litigious aspects of:

  • commercial law;
  • intellectual property law;
  • retail leasing;
  • commercial property law and conveyancing;
  • corporate finance;
  • supplier agreements;
  • distribution agreements;

Tsungai has successfully represented clients in a variety of matters in the Federal Court, Supreme Court, Federal Circuit Court, County Court and Magistrates Court.

 

Tsungai’s business experience includes being a former executive director of 2 small businesses in Victoria.

 

Tsungai graduated from Bond University with a Juris Doctor. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Financial Planning and Commercial Law) from Deakin University.

Tsungai is friendly approachable and prides himself on being a legal strategist with a solution focused approach and, maintaining open communication channels.

Christian Bird – Franchising Lawyer

Christian is a commercial lawyer, specialising in franchising law.

He is a Legal Practitioner and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Christian has been immersed in the world of franchising from a young age, and has held an executive directorship role at New Life franchising for the past seven years. This experience has allowed Christian to have greater insight into the inner workings and commercial realities of a successful franchise system.

Christian’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business from La Trobe University.

Benjamin Cohen – Franchising Lawyer

Ben Cohen is a commercial Lawyer at Mukushi Legal. Ben’s qualifications include a Juris Doctor with Distinction from RMIT and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from  Whitecliffe College of Art and Design, New Zealand.  He is a Legal Practitioner and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Ben specialises in both litigious and non-litigious areas of commercial law, corporate finance, international and domestic corporate structuring, commercial property, franchising, tax and equity.

Ben’s forte is strategic input for his client’s, accomplished through close contact with a view to making consistently sound decisions which keep his clients out of Court and focused on wealth creation. His arsenal includes a variety  of alternative dispute resolution techniques to achieve positive outcomes for clients.

Ben attributes his strength as a commercial lawyer to his real world experience as Executive Director of a global fashion company from May 2011 to August 2016. This has allowed him to be very ‘matter of fact’ and practical in all advise he offers clients.
